The Moscow Museum of Modern Art in collaboration with Triumph gallery present Untitled: 10 Gogolevsky Blvd, an exhibition by Natasha Timofeeva and Alexander Minchenko. The project is part of the MMOMA Program to support the Young Art and the Young Lions project.

Street reconstruction, new housing stock development, and expansion of the city limits have become part of the natural cityscape in Moscow. As the city planning policy is growing more aggressive, public advocacy for preservation of the downtown and historical constructions amplifies. Amid this background, Natasha Timofeeva refers to the authentic museum architecture in her new exhibition.

The Moscow Museum of Modern Art at 10 Gogolevsky Blvd occupies the former Naryshkin Mansion and the exhibition hall there, previously a kitchen, has arched ceilings and numerous nooks and niches. Today, this space houses exhibitions, its walls and ceilings are painted white. The installation by Natasha Timofeeva invites to focus on the distinctive features of this place, emphasizing its interior design and an original architectural solution. Multichannel sound sculpture, which has been created for the exhibition by Alexander Minchenko, in collaboration with the installation produces a dense and at the same time unstable environment of spaces of the transition period, risking to be memories in archival photos.
